Chubbs is one VERY silly boy! This charming 3 year-old Bulldog mix male came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray. When he wasn’t claimed, he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could enjoy life in a foster home while working on finding his true forever home. This guy arrived at the shelter in excellent shape so it’s a mystery why he wasn’t claimed but we’re thrilled to be able to help him start the next chapter of his life. From the moment we met Chubbs, he had us all wrapped around his little pinkie! Chubbs is most definitely a charmer and brimming with personality, not to mention an adorable underbite! He’s been very friendly with all people he’s met and he’s got lots of kisses ready for his human friends—whether you want ‘em or not! He does like to jump up for hugs so will need to learn to keep all four paws on the floor. It’s been hard to enforce that though as hugs from Chubbs have been pretty irresistible! He also seems to enjoy meeting other dogs—especially the girls—but doesn’t seem to be a fan of rowdy dogs jumping all over him. Apparently Chubbs was terrified of walking on a leash when he came into the shelter and didn’t like having a slip lead put around his neck. The shelter outfitted him with a harness and he walks like a pro on that so he will wear that to his new home. Chubbs has had excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained although we can’t guarantee that he won’t have a few accidents as he gets used to his new home. This guy is a real gem and is going to be a great pal for one very lucky person or family. Chubbs weighs about 48 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
