Chuckie-ADOPTED!

Little dog lovers, meet Chuckie! This cute little 4-5 year-old Yorkie/Chihuahua mix neutered male has ears the size of Texas and can hear the fridge opening miles away! We don’t have any history on this boy as he came to us from a county dog shelter but he has proven to be a wonderful guest in his foster home. Chuckie is a friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs and people too but he especially loves mealtime and gets very excited when treats are in the offing. His pictures were taken after his recent grooming where he was shaved to give his long coat a chance to grow back in beautifully. One of his before photos shows what his long coat will look like once it grows back. Chuckie has done well with crate-training in his foster home but is likely to need a little work on housetraining in his new home. He would do well with a single person or couple who has the time to let him outside frequently during the day as he works on this. Chuckie may sometimes give out a little growl when meeting someone new but he warms up quickly once he knows someone wants to be his friend—especially if they bring treats. He has not been around kids but we think he would be happiest in a quiet, kid-free home where he can really relax and enjoy life. Chuckie weighs about 6 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Chuckie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
