Claire is an absolutely adorable Retriever/Hound mix pup who came into an overcrowded county dog shelter along with her two sisters Erin and Meara as well as her mom Amber. The whole family came to Canine Lifeline so they could get lots of TLC in a foster home while searching for permanent new homes. Claire’s mom Amber looks like a Golden Retriever/Boxer mix female with her beautiful wavy coat from the Retriever side of the family and her adorable little underbite from the Boxer side. Claire’s long ears, short legs, and long body suggest that her papa might have been a Basset mix.Only a DNA test will tell for sure! Claire is a typically sweet 10-12 week old pup who loves to have fun—playing with her sisters, snuggling with her foster mom, and chewing on a Dentastix are some of her favorite activities. She will need a new family who has the time and energy to train and socialize a youngster. Claire is not housetrained yet but has been working on using pee pads in her foster home. Now that the weather is warming up, she’s ready to start working on outdoor housetraining in her new home. Claire weighed 8.4 pounds when she was spayed on 3-22-19 and we expect she’ll be 30-40 pounds when full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Claire.
