Claire-ADOPTED!

Claire is a shy but very sweet 1 year-old Retriever mix female who’s a great size at only about 34 pounds. We don’t have any history on this girl as she came to us from a county dog shelter. Claire was very shy when she first arrived and, although she was unsure of anything around her at first, it was clear that there’s not a mean bone in this girl’s body. She was quite camera shy and was hoping to avoid having to make eye contact with the camera! With no camera in sight, she is much more relaxed. Claire is kind and gentle with her human friends but really comes to life when she’s around other dogs. She absolutely LOVES other dogs and plays and wrestles with her fellow foster dogs to her heart’s content. Since she’s much more comfortable and confident in the presence of another dog, we do want to place her in a home with a canine pal or two. Claire has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She is learning about leash walking now and with more practice will soon be walking like a pro. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Claire. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
