Clementine is an absolutely adorable 3 month-old Basset Hound mix pup (born in mid-April) who is eager to find herself a wonderful forever home. She was turned into an overcrowded county dog shelter with her three sisters and her mom LuLu, a purebred Basset Hound. Their owners just didn’t want them anymore but did tell the shelter that the father of the pups was a larger Hound mix with long legs. Clementine and her sisters all look like their mom though with their short legs, long bodies, and long floppy ears. Clementine is a very affectionate puppy who loves to give lots of kisses to her human friends. She loves to play chase and wrestle with her sisters and other puppies in her foster home. Clementine is NOT housetrained and will need to work on that in her adoptive home. She will need a new family who has lots of time to devote to playing with her and working with her on housetraining and obedience. She will need to go outside every 2-3 hours during the day as she works on housetraining. She cannot be left alone for long workdays. Clementine weighed about 13 pounds on July 1 and we expect she’ll be in the 40-50 pound range once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Clementine. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age.
