Connor-PENDING

Meet Connor, a handsome and loving 8 month-old Lab/Shepherd mix neutered male who was found as a stray with his sibling Bindi. Both were taken to the local shelter and when they weren’t claimed, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so each could find a great new home. Connor is a fun-loving boy who has had a steep learning curve since arriving at Canine Lifeline. It’s likely that Connor and Bindi were left to fend for themselves for some time so living in a home environment with all the accompanying sights and sounds is new to them. Connor is now walking better on a leash but will need lots of practice on that in his new home. He adjusted well to his crate and has had no accidents in it. He definitely waits to go outside so should be able to pick up the housetraining rules in his new home with some patient and consistent direction from his new family. Although he wouldn’t do it for the camera, Connor “smiles” when confronted with a situation he finds confusing. It’s quite charming when he does it but it may catch some people offguard if they’re not expecting it. Connor is going to need a family who has the time and energy to devote to an active young dog but the effort will be rewarded with a loyal and devoted companion for years to come. Connor gets along very well with other dogs so he would do best in a home with a canine pal to help show him the ropes. Connor weighs about 41 pounds currently but we expect he’ll be 50-60 pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Connor. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
