Daisy Mae-ADOPTED!

Anyone who thinks a 9 year-old Jack Russell Terrier is over the hill or ready for the rocking chair has to meet our Daisy Mae. This bright-eyed and alert pint-sized dynamo is here to prove that age is merely a number. In fact, we think that 9 years of age is the BEST age to adopt a Jack Russell. Daisy loves to go for walks, chase the ball, and play with her toys yet is well beyond those super crazy puppy days so can settle down nicely after playtime is over. Daisy Mae lost her home last winter after her owner had health problems and was no longer able to care for her. Although she lived with another dog for most of her life and does share her foster home with other dogs, we think that Daisy Mae would do just fine in the home as an only dog. She doesn’t like to share her toys with other dogs and likes to have the ball all to herself when playing fetch. Daisy has a lot of spunk for a little girl and loves to be in the lead on her walks.  She does best when walking with a harness as she does like to pull. Daisy is a great lap dog who loves to snuggle once playtime is over. She was used to sleeping with her owner and getting comfy under the covers. Daisy also enjoys riding in the car and went on road trips with her previous owner so is a good traveler. Daisy is housetrained and also used to a crate although she may not need one in her new home. She forms attachments to new people quickly and will be a very loyal and devoted companion for the person or family that gives her a chance. Daisy weighs about 11 pounds and her adoption fee is $150. Since arriving at Canine Lifeline, she had a much needed dental cleaning with multiple extractions so now is feeling so much better. Daisy Mae is spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Daisy Mae. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
