Daphne is a painfully shy 1 year-old Lab mix female who came to us along with her mom Tory and brothers Tag and Dutch. Their world was completely upended when they were all surrendered to a county dog shelter by their previous owner. Daphne is the shyest of the group and although she’s making progress in her foster home, she is going to be a work in progress in her adoptive home. Daphne must go to a home where there is another dog who will be able to show her the ropes. She loves being around dogs and feels much more comfortable with people when in their presence. Daphne will also need a home with a secure aboveground fenced yard to keep her safe at home. She has done very well with crate-training in her foster home and should continue that when adopted. Whoever is able to give her the time and patience to allow her to overcome her shyness is sure to be rewarded with a wonderful companion for years to come. Daphne weighs about 53 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Daphne. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
