Dempsey-ADOPTED!

Meet Dempsey, a very handsome 2.5 year-old Cattledog/Lab mix neutered male with a gorgeous smile. This guy came to us as a very frightened stray from a county dog shelter over a year ago. Dempsey absolutely loves all dogs he meets and has spent the last year in his foster home greeting many new arrivals to Canine Lifeline. He’s one of the most dog-friendly dogs we’ve ever met and will definitely need a home with another playful canine buddy. Dempsey may be shy going into a new home so having a canine pal to show him the ropes in a new environment will be very important. Once Dempsey feels comfortable somewhere, he is the most silly, playful guy. He can be a little shy meeting new people but it doesn’t take him long now to warm up to someone once he knows they want to make friends with him. He has done fairly well on a leash and with daily practice should soon be walking like a pro. We do want to place Dempsey in a home that has a secure aboveground fenced yard so he can run, play, and have fun to his heart’s content. Dempsey is crate-trained so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. We can’t wait to see this sweet boy enjoying life in his very own home. Dempsey weighs about 45 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Dempsey. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
