Denver-ADOPTED!

We’ve seen lots of wonderful mixed-up mutts at Canine Lifeline but never one quite like Denver–aka “Stretch”. This one-of-a-kind 1 year-old boy looks to us like an interesting mix of Basset Hound and Lab with the most unusual coloration. He definitely has the short legs and LONG body of a Basset. Denver was shelter-bound along with his sister Aspen when a rescuer intervened and contacted us for help with them. For reasons unknown to us, their family no longer wanted them so they made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could live the lives of pampered and much loved family members. Although he was a little shy when he first arrived, it sure didn’t take Denver long to come out of his shell and make friends. He has done well with people that he’s met and is very dog-friendly too. Denver gets along well with his sister Aspen but they don’t need to be adopted together. Denver plays well with the other dogs in his foster home too so would likely enjoy having a canine pal in his new home. Denver has had excellent crate manners in his foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. He had no idea what a leash was for when he first arrived but has been a quick study and now realizes that going for a walk can be lots of fun. This guy is sure to turn lots of heads when out for a walk in his new neighborhood. He’s hoping to start having lots of fun adventures in his new home very soon! Denver weighs about 43 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Denver. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
