Dottie is a beautiful 2 year-old Lab mix who’s on the shorter side suggesting there might be something like Basset Hound way back in her family tree. This sweet girl was abandoned by her family. They simply moved out and left her behind. Fortunately, the neighbors took her in and worked with the local shelter to find a rescue to take her on. Dottie came to Canine Lifeline so she could relax in a foster home while searching for the perfect new home. This is one VERY nice dog who is eager to be welcomed into a new family. She knows some commands and is eager to show you that she can sit and shake hands for a treat. Dottie has never met a treat she doesn’t like so is a bit on the chubby side and is looking forward to lots of walks this spring to get into shape for fun summer adventures. She is VERY strong on a leash though so will need an Easy Walk Harness to help with her leash manners. Dottie gets along well with other dogs, has excellent crate manners, and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She’s the type of dog who is likely to walk right into her new house and make herself at home. Dottie weighs about 65 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Dottie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
