Meet Doug the dog, a kind and gentle 2 year-old Beagle/Bulldog mix neutered male who is truly a friend to all. This sweet boy was waiting patiently at an overcrowded county dog shelter for adoption or rescue. When the overcrowding became dire and he was in danger of euthanasia, Doug packed his belongings and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would have more time to find himself a great new home. We just can’t say enough great things about this dog! He’s not only handsome with the white diamond-shape on his forehead but he has an outstanding disposition as well. Doug is great with other dogs and makes friends easily with people. He has outstanding crate manners in his foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Doug walks nicely on a leash and would make an excellent walking, hiking, or jogging buddy for his new family. He’s playful and active but not at all hyper. We’re sure that once you meet him, you’re not going to be able to go home without him! Doug weighs about 38 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Doug. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
