Duffy has it all–great looks and a fabulous disposition! This 7 month-old Collie/Great Pyrenees mix male pup was a little shy during his photo session and kept trying to avoid the camera so his pics really don’t do him justice. He is an absolutely gorgeous boy! He was brought to a shelter as an emaciated stray back in September and went into a foster home for lots of TLC before making the recent trip to Canine Lifeline to find a permanent new home. Duffy LOVES playing with other dogs and toys too. He does need a home with another playful young dog so he would have a canine best friend for life. As a youngster, he has done quite well with crate-training but, as a puppy, needs a home where his family is not gone for long periods of time as he is still working on housetraining. He likes to jump up for attention but is learning that all good things come with all four paws are on the ground. Duffy needs more practice on the leash as he loves to charge ahead but with a family who can patiently show him the ropes and work with him, he will soon be walking like a pro. As a Great Pyrenees mix (they love to roam and don’t respect an invisible fence), Duffy will need a secure yard with an aboveground fence. Duffy weighs about 35-40 pounds currently but should be 60+ once full grown. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Duffy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
