Duncan-ADOPTED!

Looking for a dog of a different color? That’s our Duncan, a very handsome 1 year-old Aussie/Catahoula mix male. He was turned into an overcrowded rural county dog shelter by his owner who could no longer care for him. Duncan has very interesting markings and is still very much a puppy in his mannerisms. He loves playing with other dogs so would enjoy a home with another dog to pal around with. Regular trips to doggie daycare or the dog park would also be on his wish list. Duncan is working on crate-training in his foster home and is doing well with that. He should continue that in his new home as it will make housetraining in his new environment easier. Duncan hasn’t had much experience on the leash yet but is eager to please so working with him should be very rewarding. He’s very affectionate and friendly with people so will make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. Duncan weighs about 48 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Duncan. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
