Dundee-ADOPTED!

Dundee is probably a lab/pointer mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 65 lbs.  He is not a big dog — the size of a lab — but he’s a solid boy.  He has a great personality and was used at the shelter as the dog with whom they tested all the other dogs to see if they got along because Dundee gets along with everyone.  He is very friendly and affectionate and loves to give hugs if you’ll let him but he is respectful if you tell him ‘no.’  He gets very excited to eat or be let out of his kennel (much like a lab), but he settles down nicely after a few minutes (or when he gets fed). He is quiet in his kennel and sleeps through the night. He only barks when he’s excited to eat or be let out. Dundee likes the company of other dogs but isn’t pushy about it. He’s currently fostered with a bunch of oldsters (all 10+ years old) so not much playing going on and he doesn’t try to force it. He just entertains himself by running around the yard and sniffing things. Dundee likely will get along fine with cats since he showed no interest when he met a couple through a fence. Even when one cat hissed at him, he kept wagging his tail and seemed to be puzzled by the show of hostility. Dundee seems to know some basic commands like ‘off’ and ‘sit’ and will come when called. He seems very smart so he should be able to pick up new rules very quickly. Dundee weighs about 65 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
