Dundee is a handsome 11 week old (born in mid-November 2019) Blue Heeler pup. He was one of a litter of 9 pups who came to Canine Lifeline in early January after they were shelter-bound. A shelter volunteer offered to find a rescue for them so they wouldn’t have to stay in an overcrowded shelter so they made the trip to Canine Lifeline to work on finding perfect homes. We were told that the parents were purebred Heelers. We’re happy to report that the mom dog is now spayed so she won’t be adding to the dog overpopulation problem again. Dundee and his litter mates are stunningly pretty pups. Their beautiful markings are reminiscent of works of art—the more you look at them, the more detail you see in their coats. Dundee is a typically sweet friendly well-socialized pup who loves to play, explore, and snuggle with his human friends and siblings. Blue Heelers are smart working dogs who do need lots of exercise, attention, and training. They make excellent hiking partners and can excel at agility too. Dundee is NOT yet housetrained so will need a family who is able to let him outside every couple of hours or so during the day as he works on that. He would not do well left alone for long workdays. Puppies are adorable but please make sure you have the time, energy, and patience to devote to socializing, training, and playing with a pup before submitting an application to adopt. Dundee weighed about 8 pounds when he was neutered on Jan 20 and we expect he will be about 40-45 pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Dundee. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
