This super-handsome guy with the very interesting markings is Durango, a 1-2 year-old Cattledog/Hound mix male. We have no history on him as he came to us from a county dog shelter but he has been a really good boy in his foster home. Durango loves playing with other dogs so would enjoy having a canine pal or two in his new home. He has done well with crate-training in his foster so, with continued work on that in his new home, he should pick up the housetraining rules quickly. Durango has quite a bit of energy so isn’t the type of dog to lay around on the couch all day. He will need an active family who will want to include him in lots of activities. Durango does know the sit command and is eager to learn lots more with his new family. He will need some practice on the leash but with daily walks in his new home, he’ll soon be walking like a pro. Durango weighs about 44 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Durango. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
