Meet Emerson, a super-cute 3 month-old (born in mid-April) pup who looks like a Shepherd/Lab mix to us. The shelter who sent him to us called him a Boxer/Belgian Malinois mix so perhaps a DNA test is in order to sort out that family tree. Whatever his breed mix, he found himself at a county dog shelter along with his two siblings. From there, the trio made the trip to Canine Lifeline so that they would have more time to find perfect new homes. Emerson is a very friendly and loving pup who enjoys playing with other dogs but enjoys snuggle time with his human friends too. He seems to have had a start on housetraining as he will pee as soon as he is taken outdoors. He also is doing well with crate-training in his foster home. He will need a home where his family is able to let him outside every 3 hours or so during the day as he continues to master housetraining. Emerson wouldn’t do well left alone for long workdays. He’s just starting to understand what a leash is all about and will soon be looking forward to long walks with his new family. Emerson weighs about 20 pounds now and we expect he will be about 60-70 pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Emerson. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
