Lab lovers looking for a fun-loving, active pup ought to take a look at Emmett! This very friendly and outgoing 4 month-old Black Lab mix male found himself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter along with his brother. His brother was pulled by another rescue while Emmett came to Canine Lifeline so he could take his time in finding the perfect new home. Emmett is a BIG puppy, weighing in at about 31 pounds at 4 months of age. He’s got some big paws to grow into so we expect he’ll be 70+ pounds once full-grown. Emmett LOVES playing with dogs so he would really enjoy having a playful canine buddy in his new home. He also loves toys and would be very happy with an overflowing toy chest in his new home. Emmett does walk quite well on a leash for a kid and is eager to start exploring his new neighborhood with daily walks. He is going to need work on housetraining in his adoptive home so would do best with someone who can let him outside every four hours or so during the day. It would also help to have a canine pal to help show him the ropes. Emmett is still all puppy so would benefit from attending an obedience class with his new family so that he can become the best canine citizen he can be. Emmett’s adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Emmett. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
