Ernie is a very cute 9 month-old Doxie mix who was found as a stray in a local county and brought to the shelter. No one claimed him and he quickly became very stressed there so came to Canine Lifeline so he could relax in a foster home and take his time finding the perfect new home. Ernie is a high energy little guy who loves to run around with other dogs his size. He might be fine in a home as the only dog as long as his family has plenty of time to spend with him and keep him occupied. Ernie does settle down nicely in his crate once playtime is over. He has excellent crate manners so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Ernie weighs about 11 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Ernie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
