Finley-ADOPTED!

Meet Finley, a very sweet but shy boy who came into a shelter as a stray looking as if he’d had a rough time of it in his short life. At about 9-10 months-old, Finley was very thin and lacked confidence. Not surprisingly, no one claimed this poor little guy so he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for a permanent new home. Not having any history on him, his breed mix is just a guess so we’re going with Cattle Dog and Border Collie. When Finley arrived, he had no idea what a leash was for and just sunk to the ground rather than walking. Now that he’s been with us a few weeks, he is feeling much better and starting to get the hang of going for a walk. Finley loves playing with other dogs so we would like to see him adopted into a home where there is another payful dog to help boost his confidence and show him the ropes. Finley has done well with crate-training in his foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. In spite of his shyness, Finley was a natural in front of the camera and posed beautifully. If you’ve got the time to put into working with a little bit of a diamond in the rough, Finley will reward you with years of loyal companionship. Finley weighs about 31 pounds but is working on gaining a few more in his foster home. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Finley. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
