This gorgeous girl is Flora, an 11 month-old Husky/Shepherd mix spayed female who’s 100% puppy! She came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray and when she wasn’t claimed, made the trip to Canine Lifeline to take her time finding the perfect new home. Flora is a very sweet girl but it’s clear that no one spent time training her as she is full-speed ahead with all of that puppy energy. She is very food-motivated though so should be responsive to training. She gets along beautifully with other dogs so would enjoy having a canine buddy in her new home who can show her the ropes and help her blow off some steam every day. Flora has beautiful markings and very unusual coloring on the back of her ears as can be seen in one of her photos. The two tone tan and white is very striking. Flora loves going for a walk but needs work on her leash manners. She would benefit from walking with an Easy Walk Harness as she works on her leash skills. Flora has a fabulous disposition and is going to make an outstanding companion for the person or family who has the time and energy to work with a young dog. Once she has some training under her belt, the sky’s the limit for Flora. We can’t wait to see her living her life to her full potential. Flora weighs about 45-50 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Flora. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
