Frieda is a gorgeous 9 month-old Retriever mix with beautiful coloring and markings as well as a very kind and gentle disposition. She came to us along with her siblings Portia and Chevy from an overcrowded county dog shelter. We don’t know what circumstances led to all of them losing their home but suspect that they were part of an unwanted litter who their family couldn’t find homes for. Fortunately, Frieda now has the opportunity to live the life of a very pampered pup and is looking for the family of her dreams. This sweet dog gets along well with everyone she meets—both human and canine. She has also met some kitties and showed little to no interest in them so might be able to live in a home with cats. Frieda would enjoy having a canine buddy or two in her new home. Regular trips to doggie daycare would also be fun for her. Frieda seems to be a quick learner and catches on to new routines with ease. She has done well with crate-training in her foster home so we expect she’ll master the house rules quickly in her new home. Frieda does like to jump up on people for attention but does so very gently. Even so, she has been working on keeping all four paws on the ground and will soon understand that all good things come to dogs who keep all four on the floor. Frieda is very food motivated so working with her on obedience and leash manners should be a rewarding experience. We’re sure that she is going to blossom once she has the chance to settle in to her new home. Frieda weighs about 35 pounds currently and we expect she’ll be about 45 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Frieda. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
