Garbo is a shy but very sweet 1-2 year-old Terrier mix female who was turned into a county dog shelter with her siblings Gretta, Tango, and Tolliver. They came from a home where there were just too many dogs and their elderly owner could not care for them properly. Garbo is very sweet and friendly with people but hasn’t had much exposure to leash walking or obedience training. She absolutely loves other dogs and since she’s always lived with many dogs, we do want to place her in a home with another dog as she would really be lost as an only dog in the home. Garbo has excellent crate manners and really enjoys snoozing in her crate after playtime is over. It’s probably the first time she’s had a cozy bed of her very own and she really enjoys that. She is likely to be quite shy and submissive when going into a new home but with love and patience from her new family, she will blossom into a wonderful companion for years to come. Garbo weighs about 20 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Garbo. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
