This cutie is Griffy, a 1 year-old Doxie/Beagle mix boy who came to us from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter with his sisters Rita and Petunia. We don’t know what caused this trio to become homeless but we suspect that someone’s dog had pups and they weren’t able to find homes for them so when they reached a year-old, off to the shelter they went. Griffy is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves everyone and everything. He loves playing with other dogs so would enjoy having a fun-loving canine pal in his new home. Griffy will likely need some work on housetraining in his new home so would do best with a family who is not gone for long workdays. He came to us with little to no experience on a leash so that’s still a work in progress for him. With a little more practice, he’ll soon be enjoying lots of adventures on the leash with his new family. Griffy weighs about 21 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Griffy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
