Here’s Guido, an adorable 4 month-old Boxer/Cattle dog mix pup who was born on November 9, 2019. His mom, Sofia, came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a pregnant stray and, a week later, gave birth to 8 healthy pups. Sofia looks like a Boxer/Bulldog mix but we think Dad may have been a Cattle Dog mix as many of the pups have Cattle dog type markings. Only a DNA test would tell for sure! The pups were raised in a foster home with their mom. The whole family made the trip to Canine Lifeline in early January so they could each find a wonderful new home. Guido is a typically sweet friendly well-socialized pup who loves to play, explore, and snuggle with his human friends and siblings. He is NOT yet housetrained so will need a family who is able to let him outside every couple of hours or so during the day as he works on that. He would not do well left alone for long workdays. Puppies are adorable but please make sure you have the time, energy, and patience to devote to socializing, training, and playing with a pup before submitting an application to adopt. Guido weighed about 10 pounds when he was neutered on Jan 15 and we expect he will be 45-50 pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Guido. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
