Gypsy-ADOPTED!

This absolute gem of a dog is Gypsy, a 6 month-old Border Collie mix female, who came to us from an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray. Since arriving here with us, everyone who has met Gypsy has been immediately smitten with her. She made herself a volunteer favorite with minutes! Although she’s only 6 months-old, this girl is so much more chill and calm than most dogs her age. She does love to play with other dogs but is also content to snuggle with her human friends. We don’t know what else might be in her family tree but there are definitely some other breeds that have taken the edge off the Border Collie. Gypsy loves stuffed toys and can keep herself entertained throwing them and chasing them herself. She was an absolute pro in front of the camera when it was her turn to have her pictures taken. Gypsy has had excellent crate manners in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. We would like to see this girl go to a home with a canine companion or someone who has plenty of time to spend with her. Gypsy would not enjoy being left alone for long workdays. She met the resident cats at the vet clinic and had no adverse reaction to them so might be fine living in a home with kitties. Whoever adopts this outstanding girl is going to rewarded with an incredibly loving dog! Gypsy weighs about 35 pounds and will likely be 50 pounds or more once she’s full-grown. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Gypsy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
