Halo-PENDING

Halo is a beautiful 2.5 year-old Aussie/English Shepherd mix spayed female who was adopted from a shelter as a puppy but recently returned to them because her owners said she wouldn’t play with their other dogs. From the shelter, Halo made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could take her time finding the perfect new home. We have found that Halo can be a little nervous initially around other dogs and seems to prefer her canine companions on the calm, mellow side. She has been extremely friendly with all people that she’s met since she arrived here with us. Halo hasn’t had much training to date though as she’s very exuberant and loves to jump on people for attention. We are working with her so she’s starting to understand that all good things come to pups who keep all four paws on the ground but that is going to be a work in progress for her and something her adopters will need to continue. Halo prances when she walks on a leash and would love to strut her stuff around her new neighborhood with her family. She has kept her crate spotless in her foster home so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that. Although there are no cats in her foster home, Halo met the resident vet clinic kitty and although she seemed curious about her, she didn’t show any aggression. Halo weighs about 50 pounds and her adoption fee is $325. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Halo. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
