Oh my, what big ears you have Halo! This 8 month-old Jack Russell/Cattledog mix girl still has some growing to do but we doubt if she’ll ever catch up to those impressive ears! Halo was an owner surrender at an overcrowded county dog shelter. We don’t know what circumstances led to her losing her home but likely someone just wasn’t ready for a puppy. From the shelter, Halo made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could have fun playing in a foster home while searching for the home of her dreams. Halo is a very dog and people-friendly pup who has never met a stranger. She’s got lots of energy so will need an active family who can keep her busy and include her in lots of fun adventures. She would benefit from enrolling in an obedience class with her new family so she can be the best pup she can be. She has a good start as she walks quite well on a leash and will also sit for a treat. Halo has been working on crate-training and housetraining in her foster home and doing well so will need to continue both in her adoptive home. Halo weighs about 22 pounds and will likely be about 30 pounds or so once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Halo. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
