Hank is a very handsome 2 year-old Flat-coated Retriever/Border Collie mix male with a great disposition. He was adopted from a shelter but returned after a brief stay in his new home because he was too active for his family. He’s now relaxing in a foster home with Canine Lifeline while he searches for the perfect new home. Hank has been a great houseguest in his foster home. He has gotten along well with other dogs but seems to be submissive with most dogs and a little uncomfortable around really rowdy dogs. If there’s a canine pal in his new home, it would be best if it were a calm dog who wouldn’t be intimidating to Hank. Hank loves being around people and is very sociable. He will need some work in obedience but is a smart dog who’s eager to learn. Hank will sit for a treat and may know some other commands that we haven’t discovered yet. Once he’s had a little more practice on the leash, he’s going to be a terrific walking, jogging, or hiking buddy. Hank weighs about 42 pounds although he looks like he’s larger than that given his long coat. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Hank. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
