Harry-ADOPTED!

Meet Harry, a delightful little 5 year-old Poodle who was an owner surrender at an overcrowded county dog shelter along with his pal Sally. From the shelter, they made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could relax in a foster home while searching for a perfect new home. We don’t know what caused them to lose their home but they have been perfect little houseguests in their foster home since arriving here with us. They both came to us in need of a grooming so made a trip to the groomer shortly after their arrival. Both were excellent with the groomer. They were very compliant, allowing their feet, faces, and ears to be touched without any problem so they had clearly been groomed before. While they get along well together and would be a fun little pair if you’re looking for two dogs, Harry and Sally do not need to be adopted together. Harry is a very animated, friendly little guy would love a life with lots of walks and playtime. While Sally has spurts of play, she seems much more comfortable snuggling on someone’s lap. Harry will probably need a little work on housetraining in his new home but he does well in a crate in his foster home so it is recommended that his new family works with him on crate-training. Harry has gotten along well with all other dogs he’s met so would probably enjoy a home with a canine buddy. Harry weighs about 10 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Harry had a dental at our vet since coming to Canine Lifeline so now flashes a pretty white smile. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Harry. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
