This gorgeous 11 month-old Collie/Great Pyrenees mix pup is Ilsa. She was surrendered to a county dog shelter by her family who could no longer care for her. According to the shelter staff, her family had never even given her a name. In spite of likely having been largely ignored in the past, this is one very sweet and loving girl. She’s kind and gentle meeting new people and excellent with other dogs. She enjoys playing chase and wrestling with her fellow foster dogs so would enjoy having a canine pal in her new home or making regular trips to doggie daycare for some fun each week. Ilsa has done well with crate-training in her foster home so should be able to pick up the housetraining routine quickly in her new home. She met the resident kitty at the vet clinic and didn’t show much of a reaction to her so might be fine living in a home with cats. Ilsa only weighs about 35 pounds but does have double dewclaws on her back paws consistent with Great Pyr. She has a beautiful coat which will need regular brushing and grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Ilsa. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
