Jacques is a very handsome 4 year-old Shepherd/Cattledog mix male with gorgeous markings, big brown eyes, and a friendly disposition. He came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray so we have no history on his pre-shelter life. Jacques loves to play with other dogs and is very friendly and affectionate with his human friends but has had little training to date. We’re sure he will respond well to obedience work as he’s very food motivated and eager to please. Jacques just needs someone who has the time to give him plenty of exercise and positive direction so he can be the best canine good citizen possible. He would love having a canine buddy in his new home to romp with as well as a big fenced in yard to play in. Jacques has done well with crate-training in his foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. He hasn’t had much experience on a leash yet so walking him with an EasyWalk harness as he perfects his leash manners would be recommended. Jacques weighs about 45 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Jacques. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
