Jenny

Jenny is a beautiful 2-3 year-old Heeler/Aussie mix female who was found as a stray with Jake, who looks to be her littermate. The pair was taken to the local dog pound but no one claimed them so they both came to Canine Lifeline to find great new homes. Jenny has a gorgeous thick coat and a long tail along with beautiful markings. Although she and Jake get along very well together, they do not need to be adopted together. Jenny has gotten along well with other dogs that she’s met since coming to us, but has been a little slow to warm up to rowdy dogs. She seems to especially love her human friends and will eagerly soak up all the love and attention that comes her way. Her genuine affection for people does lead her to jump up for attention but she has been working on keeping all four paws on the ground when seeking attention. She will need to continue obedience work in her new home and needs to have a family who’ll be very consistent with her in terms of her manners. Jenny has done well in her crate in her foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She walks fairly well on a leash provided her handler doesn’t allow her to jump up. Once she gains some confidence and feels comfortable in her new environment, she will make an excellent hiking buddy. Jenny weighs about  36 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Jenny. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
