Jetta-ADOPTED!

Jetta is a snuggly and expressive 1.5 year-old Aussie mix who loves giving kisses. We don’t have any history on her pre-shelter life as she came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray. When she wasn’t claimed there, Jetta made the trip to us so that she could relax in a foster home while searching for her permanent new home. Jetta can be a little shy at first, but when she opens up, she is a springy and happy girl with the cutest trot and perky ears. She seems very grateful for her second chance and shows her appreciation with lots of kisses, cuddles, and attention. She jumps around when she gets excited especially for treats or play time, so she will need patience and training to teach her not to jump up on you. Jetta gets along well with the dog in her foster home and is eager to play. She is also very smart! She already seems to know some tricks (sit and lay down) and is picking up other ones quickly (stay, spin). She can be a little skittish, especially when entering new spaces or around loud noises. She is a good leash walker though and pretty much stays right next to you. She is happy to be in her crate and will sleep in there all night as well as when she’s left home alone. She also seems to have a good sense of potty training. She’ll do her business quickly in the yard with no accidents so far in her foster home. This beautiful girl is an absolute doll and eager to start having lots of fun adventures in her new home. Jetta weighs about 29 pounds currently but is thin and needs to gain a few pounds to reach her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Jetta. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
