This girl with the winning smile is Jasmine, a 3 year-old Boxer mix who’s a great size at only about 35 pounds. She has good reason to smile as, all things considered, she’s a very lucky girl. Jasmine was found as an injured stray on a highway in a local county and taken to the shelter. She appeared to have been hit by a car and had an injured rear leg. The shelter reached out to us for help with her so she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would receive the medical attention she needed. X-rays at our vet revealed that Jasmine needed femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery to repair a damaged hip joint. That surgery was done several weeks ago and she has made a fantastic recovery. She no longer has any exercise restrictions and has been having fun running and playing in the snow with her fellow foster buddies. Jasmine gets along great with other dogs so might enjoy a canine pal in her new home. She has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Jasmine can’t wait to experience how wonderful a dog’s life can and should be in her new home. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Jasmine. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
