Juno is a gorgeous 8 month-old Golden Retriever/Collie mix spayed female who was surrendered to an overcrowded county dog shelter by her family who was moving and not taking her along. She was very frightened at the shelter and not likely to find a home there. The shelter thought it best that she go to a rescue where she could relax outside of the shelter environment and take her time finding the right home. Since her arrival here with us, Juno has made friends quickly—both human and canine– and once comfortable with someone, is a very affectionate, attentive dog. She can definitely be nervous in new situations though and may bark at new people or if she’s uncomfortable somewhere. The ideal home for her would be with one or two people who have another dog for her to bond with but few visitors in their home. An urban or high-density suburban environment would be overwhelming for Juno so she will need a home in a rural area or very quiet neighborhood where she can truly relax as a treasured member of her family. Juno knows the sit command, has excellent crate manners, is likely to be housetrained although we can’t guarantee it, and walks nicely on a leash. We can’t wait to see her continue to blossom in her new home. She’s a true beauty inside and out and will thrive in the right environment. Juno weighs about 45 pounds currently and her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Juno. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
