Kiki is a bright-eyed and alert 10 month-old Norwegian Elkhound mix spayed female who was adopted from a shelter as a puppy last August but recently returned when her family could no longer care for her. We don’t know what circumstances led to Kiki losing her home but she’s eager to find a new family to love and make a fresh start. This girl can be a little shy initially when meeting someone but give her about 30 seconds and she’ll be crawling into your lap for lots of hugs and kisses. Kiki does well with other dogs but might be fine as the only dog in her new home provided that her family has plenty of time to spend with her. She’s a sweetheart who craves attention and affection so wouldn’t do well left alone for long workdays. Kiki walks pretty well on a leash and is going to love going on lots of adventures with her new family. She has had excellent crate manners in her foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She does have a very thick undercoat and does shed a lot so that is something her new family must be prepared for. Kiki is a great size at only about 28 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Kiki. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
