Killian

Looking for a friendly, affectionate, easy-going, go-with-the flow kind of dog? That’s our boy Killian, a 3 year-old mix of what looks to us like Shepherd and Boxer—yes, there is a slight underbite! He was adopted from a shelter but returned to them recently when his family could no longer care for him. They must have been sad to see him go because this boy has been the perfect guest in his foster home. He gets along very well with his fellow foster dogs and enjoys playing chase and wrestling with them. He would certainly enjoy having a canine buddy in his new home. Killian also has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that. As sweet as he is, it appears that he hasn’t had much training in the past as he doesn’t seem to respond to the sit command and will jump on people for attention. Killian is eager to please though so should be able to master some good canine citizen manners in short order with some patient and positive reinforcement training on the part of his new family. Once he’s got a little more leash training under his belt, Killian is going to make an outstanding walking, hiking, or jogging buddy. Killian weighs about 40 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Killian. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
