Calling all Lab lovers! Kira is a 9 month-old Black Lab mix spayed female who found herself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have more time to work on finding her permanent new home. Kira weighs about 36 pounds currently but is still growing. We expect she’ll be about 45 pounds once full-grown so on the smaller side for a Lab. Kira is still very much of a puppy but she’s very eager to please and willing to learn. She does well with other dogs so would enjoy having a playful canine buddy in her new home who can show her the ropes. She has done well with crate-training in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules fairly quickly in her new home. Kira loves to have fun so would enjoy accompanying her family on lots of fun adventures all year-long. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Kira. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
