Kirby is a super-cute 7-8 month-old Cattle Dog/Beagle mix pup who has a long body and short legs suggesting there might be something like Dachshund in the mix too. Only a DNA test will tell for sure as this little guy was found running down a rural road about a month ago. No owner came forward to claim him so he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would be able to find the perfect new home. Kirby certainly isn’t letting the fact that he’s homeless get him down. This pup is one VERY happy dog. His tail is always wagging. He even wags so hard that his whole back end gets going and he almost falls over from enthuasiasm. We have found his joy to be absolutely contagious!  Kirby loves all people he meets and gets along great with other dogs too. He settles down nicely in his crate for a nap when playtime is over. He seems like a smart pup who picks up new routines quickly so should be able to master the house rules in short order in his new home. Kirby has learned how to walk on a leash very quickly and loves trotting around with his human friends. This little guy is sure to turn lots of heads when he’s out for a walk as he’s just that cute! Kirby weighs about 20 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Kirby. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
