Lara is a lovely 2 year-old Black Lab female who looks to us like she is a purebred. She was not at all interested in having her picture taken and tried to get away from the camera so her photos are not the best unfortunately. This girl came to us from an overcrowded county dog shelter after having been transferred there from a neighboring county shelter to avoid euthanasia for lack of space so we have no history on her pre-shelter life. Lara has proven to be a real gem in her foster home though. She gets along beautifully with all other dogs that she’s met and is very friendly with people too. She will need some work on obedience training as she does like to jump up on people for attention. She’s working on understanding that all good things come to pups who keep all four paws on the ground. Lara has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. If you love Labs, you’re going to want to meet this girl in person and see not only what a beauty she is but what a nice disposition she has as well. Lara weighs about 65 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Lara. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
