Lila

Lila is an active, energetic, and very friendly 2 year-old Boxer/Pittie mix spayed female who is eager to find a new family to love. She found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for a  permanent new home. We don’t have any history on Lila’s life before she came into the shelter but we suspect that she may have lived most of her life outdoors. Adjusting to indoor life has been a steep learning curve for Lila but she’s a quick study who seems to really appreciate the comforts of home. Lila has been working on crate-training in her foster home and, although she’s not a big fan of her crate, she is getting used to a routine that involves some crate time each day. Lila seems to be happiest when she’s around other dogs so we would love to place her in a home with a playful canine buddy. Her best bud in her foster home is adoptable dog Jinx. Lila loves to eat and really looks forward to breakfast and dinner each day. She was very thin coming out of the shelter so has been working on gaining a few pounds in her foster home. Lila has also been working on her leash manners and doing well when walking with an Easy Walk Harness. This girl would make an outstanding hiking or jogging pal for her new family. Lila weighs about 40 pounds but needs to gain about 5 more to be at her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Lila. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
