Lincoln

This very handsome 1 year-old Black Lab mix is Lincoln. He was found as a stray and taken to an overcrowded county dog shelter. When his stray hold was up and he hadn’t been claimed, he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could relax in a foster home while searching for the perfect new home. Lincoln has the typically sweet, goofy, and lovable personality of a Lab but it appears that he hasn’t had much training to date. He loves to jump up on people for attention but does respond well to direction so just needs a patient and consistent person or family to help him work on his obedience and canine good citizen skills. Lincoln has been working on crate-training in his foster home and getting the hang of it. He would do best in a home where his family is around much of the time to work with him on house manners. Lincoln gets along well with other dogs so would likely enjoy have a canine play buddy in his new home. He does fairly well on a leash for a young dog and will only improve in his new home with daily practice. This fun-loving boy is looking forward to having loads of great adventures with his new family. Lincoln weighs about 47 pounds and his adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
