Lindy is a very sweet and affectionate 8 month-old Lab mix female who was surrendered to a county dog shelter before Christmas because her family could no longer care for her. Since her previous owners kept her outdoors, it’s a good thing for her that she ended up at the shelter so she had the chance to live life indoors as a treasured family member in a new home. Now that she’s with Canine Lifeline, Lindy is getting used to living indoors in her foster home. She has been working on crate-training and housetraining and has made lots of progress within the last few weeks. With some patient and consistent direction on the part of her new family, Lindy should be able to pick up the house rules without too much trouble in her new home. The shelter told us that Lindy had lived with kids, dogs, and cats in her previous home and done well with all. While she’s not living with cats or kids here, she gets along wonderfully with her fellow foster dogs and loves spending her days playing chase and wrestling with them. She would certainly enjoy having a canine buddy in her new home who could help show her the ropes. Regular trips to doggie daycare would also be lots of fun for her. Lindy is working on leash training too and, with daily practice in her new home, will soon be walking like a pro. She was very camera shy when her photos were taken so you will have to meet her to see what a beautiful, loving dog she is. Lindy weighs about 30-35 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Lindy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
