Lindy

This lovely little lady is Lindy, a 1.5 year-old Terrier mix female who was turned into an overcrowded rural county dog shelter along with her buddy Whitney. The shelter was full and not accepting new dogs but when they saw the condition of these two, they took them in and immediately got them to a vet. Lindy was suffering from demodectic mange which is noncontagious but incredibly itchy and she was scratching her skin raw. Both Lindy and her sister Whitney made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could get continuing medical attention. She has now been treated for mange and is currently on a course of Apoquel and an oral antibiotic to stop the itchiness and treat the skin infection. Lindy is doing so much better and can now relax and start enjoying life. She is a really cute little dog who loves meeting new people and is very playful. She loves toys and chewing on her bones. Lindy has done well with crate training in her foster home and should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. She would enjoy having a yard with a secure aboveground fence as she’s still a little reluctant to walk on the leash. Lindy would do well with a canine buddy in her home but would also likely be fine as the only dog in the home provided her family has lots of time to devote to her. We can’t wait to see this girl living her very best life in her new home. Lindy weighs about 18 pounds and her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Lindy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
