This super-cute little guy is Linus, an 8 month-old Shih Tzu/Beagle mix male who was turned into an overcrowded county dog shelter right before Christmas along with his two littermates, Charlie Brown and Snoopy. According to the shelter, someone decided to breed their Beagle with their Shih Tzu and ended up with pups that they couldn’t find homes for. As an aside, PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER—there are already too many homeless dogs! Linus is oozing with personality and you get the feeling when you’re with him that he knows that he’s cute! He has a scruffy coat and an underbite which is just irresistible. Linus can be quite vocal when he wants something so wouldn’t be suited to apartment or condo living most likely. He loves being around other dogs so we would like to place him in a home with a canine pal or two. Linus has done well with crate-training in his foster home so should pick up the housetraining rules quickly in his new home with some patience and consistency. Linus weighs about 17 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Linus. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
