This handsome boy is Louie, a 1 year-old pup who looks to be the perfect mix of Beagle and Cattle Dog. Louie was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan. When no owner was located, she tried to keep Louie but he proved to be too energetic and playful for her senior dogs so she took him to the local shelter so he could find a more active home. From there, Louie came to Canine Lifeline so he could take his time finding the perfect new home. Louie is a very sweet dog who has gotten along well with all people and other dogs he’s met since coming to us. He can be a little shy and reserved at first in new situations but it doesn’t take him long to come out of his shell once he’s comfortable with new people. Louie has had excellent crate manners in his foster home and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that. He walks quite nicely on a leash and will make a great walking or hiking buddy for an active person or family. Louie weighs about 31 pounds and his adoption fee is $325. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Louie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
