Lucy is a lovely 1 year-old Golden Retriever/Collie mix spayed female who was adopted from a shelter last summer but recently returned due to her owner’s health problems. We can only imagine that they were sad to return Lucy as this is one very nice dog! She is still a youngster though so can be quite rambunctious at times and is going to need a new family who has the time to give her plenty of exercise and work with her on obedience and canine manners. Lucy gets along very well with other dogs and, according to the shelter, lived in her previous home with 3 small dogs and a cat. She keeps her crate spotless and is likely to be housetrained although she might need a bit of a refresher going into a new home. Lucy walks nicely on a leash and would love a home where she can go on daily walks, jogs, or hikes. She weighs about 58 pounds now but ought to lose a few pounds this spring to be at her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Lucy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
