Calling all big dog fans! Take a look at Luke, a 4.5 month-old Great Dane/Boxer mix male who weighs about 34 pounds now and who will likely be 80-90 pounds or more when he’s full-grown. He has HUGE paws which he’s working on growing into! Luke came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray and, when he wasn’t claimed, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would have more time to find the perfect new home. We can’t believe that someone would have given up on this boy as he is a fantastic pup. The shelter raved about what a nice boy is was and they were spot on! Luke is playful but not hyper. He gets along very well with other dogs but also settles down nicely in his crate for a nap after playtime. He rarely has an accident in his crate so should pick up the housetraining routine in his new home easily. Luke is a quick study and learned to sit for a treat in no time. For a puppy, he trots along nicely on a leash. Luke loves his human friends and never meets a stranger. This pup is going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family who has the space for a large dog and the time to train a puppy. His adoption fee is $275. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Luke . An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
